2025 March Mud Season

Community Hoops Training (CHT) is thrilled to introduce the March Mud Season, a month-long league/program with an exciting twist on the traditional 3-on-3 format.

This innovative 3-on-3-on-3 full-court game takes the action beyond the standard half-court experience by adding a third team into the mix! This dynamic setup bridges the gap between small-sided play and the full-court flow of 5-on-5 basketball, offering a fresh and engaging way to develop your skills.

The 3-on-3-on-3 format amplifies the benefits of traditional 3-on-3 basketball, including:

  • More Touches: Get more opportunities to handle the ball and make plays.

  • Versatility: Build skills across multiple positions.

  • Enhanced Decision-Making: Sharpen your basketball IQ with quick, strategic thinking.

  • Heightened Physical Engagement: Experience the intensity of full-court play.

  • Physical and Mental Fitness: Improve your endurance, agility, and focus.

  • Team Concept Development: Strengthen communication and collaboration in a team-oriented environment.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to elevate your game—March Mud Season promises to be as fun as it is challenging!

Program Details

Participants will be placed on teams to ensure the best balance and competitiveness. Each team will consist of four to five players, allowing for substitutions and/or coverage in case of an injury or absence.

Each day will begin with a skill-based warm-up, followed by a breakdown of a daily offensive team concept. Afterward, the three teams will compete in two 20-minute games with a running clock. These games will feature development-focused constraints—such as dribble limits or touch-count rules—to encourage optimal team play and strategic awareness.

To further reinforce learning, the daily offensive team concept will be emphasized during gameplay, with possession beginning actions and scoring incentives designed to promote teamwork and execution.

During games, players are encouraged to communicate, motivate one another, and strategize independently. Coaching will be provided during timeouts and between games to reinforce best practices and support player development.
